Progressive Tax
A tax system where the rate increases as taxable income rises, applied in bands (brackets).
In a progressive tax system, income is split into brackets, and each bracket is taxed at its own rate β only the portion of income that falls inside a bracket is taxed at that bracket's rate, not your entire income. All five countries Taxolase supports (the US, Thailand, UK, Singapore, and Australia) use progressive systems, though the number of brackets and rates differ significantly.
