Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Taxolase ("we", "us") collects when you use taxolase.com (the "Service"), and how we use it. This is a general-purpose policy — if you operate under specific regulations (GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, etc.), have a qualified professional review it for your jurisdiction.

Information We Collect

We collect information in a few limited ways:

• Tax calculator inputs — income, filing status, and deduction amounts you enter are sent to our server to compute your result, but are not stored in a database. They exist only for the duration of that calculation request.
• Email address — if you submit the lead capture form or the "Advertise With Us" contact form, we (or an email/automation provider we use) receive your email and message so we can respond.
• Usage analytics — if enabled, Google Analytics collects standard usage data (pages visited, approximate location, device type) to help us understand how the Service is used. Analytics only loads after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner; if you click "Decline" (or ignore it), no analytics scripts run. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage.
• Shareable links — if you use "Copy Shareable Link", the link contains the figures you entered (income, bonus, deductions) in the web address so the calculation can be reopened. We do not store these figures; anyone you send the link to will be able to see them.
• Error reports — if enabled, when the Service hits an unexpected error, a technical report (the error message, browser and device type, and the page address without any query parameters) is sent to our error-monitoring provider, Sentry, so we can fix the problem. These reports never include the figures you entered and do not use cookies.
• Technical request data — to stop automated spam on our forms, your IP address is held temporarily in our server's memory to count requests per minute; it is not saved to a database. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs.
• Local browser storage — we use your browser's session storage to remember small UI preferences (e.g. that you dismissed the ad banner, or already saw a prompt this session). This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We do not require account creation, and we do not collect passwords or payment information.

How We Use Information

• To calculate and display your tax results.
• To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact forms.
• To send occasional emails to addresses that opted in via the lead capture form (you can unsubscribe anytime).
• To understand aggregate usage of the Service and improve it.

Third Parties

We may use Google Analytics for usage analytics, Sentry for error monitoring, Vercel for hosting, third-party ad networks to display advertising, and affiliate partners (such as brokerages or fund providers) whose links may include tracking parameters used to attribute referrals. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and Cookies

We may show ads served by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Advertising cookies are only loaded after you accept cookies in our cookie banner. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings has the same effect for cookies already stored.

Data Retention

Tax calculator inputs are not persisted after your request completes. Emails submitted via our forms are retained until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe.

Your Choices

You can decline cookies/analytics via your browser settings, use an ad blocker, and unsubscribe from any email by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in that email.
